Women in the entertainment industry and media were recently invited to a special Volvo Power of 40 Women’s Breakfast at Munro Boutique Hotel, Houghton Estate.
This comes after the car brand scooped the biggest award in the Executive SUV category at the cars.co.za Consumer Awards held on 24 January at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, as the women were treated with style and class.
After a successful 2018 in which VOLVO Cars SA celebrated major wins both locally and internationally, the luxury car brand is kicking off the new year on a high note.
“The recognition that Volvo Cars SA receives each year is proof that as a leading luxury brand, we are consistently taking a step in the right direction with our cars. We are in an exciting space as a car manufacturer,” Volvo Cars SA managing director, Greg Maruszewski said.
What was noted as a momentous year last year, the car brand was seen celebrating major wins both locally and internationally.
In the finals for the awards were the Volvo XC40 which was named the Women’s Car of The Year for 2018 as well as a finalist in the 2019 AutoTrader South African Car of The Year.
“The key for us globally is to ensure that we produce the best of the best for our consumers. Such wins are a pat on our back, encouraging us to remain in our lane and improve every single year,” Maruszewski said.
